Family Pictures

Madison was in such a great mood on Saturday evening after her party that we decided to take advantage of it and take some family pictures. Thanks to photographer Terry for taking such great pictures! I'm so glad we got some good pictures since we didn't take her to get professional pictures taken.

Weekend Fun!

Well, I don't know about everyone else, but we had a busy weekend. On Saturday we had a yard sale in the morning, then we drove about 30 minutes up I-75 to Reed Bingham State Park. Then Sunday was church and then a day at Wild Adventures. Our weekends will be packed like that from now on. Now that I'm back to work and Jason is working swings the only time we get to see each other is on the weekends.

Madison's 2nd Birthday Party!

Hey ya'll! I know it's still a few weeks away, but I just wanted to let everyone know that I am planning a birthday party for Madison. Everyone is invited to come, and I completely understand if you don't since we are 3.5 hours away! Her birthday is Friday, August 15 and I plan on having the party on Saturday, August 16. Not sure on the time yet, but it won't be too early because I know some people will be traveling. Probably around lunch or something like that. Anyways, just wanted to let everyone know in case you can make it. If you plan on coming just reply to this blog or send me an email, so i can kind of have a head count for food and stuff. Thanks!

Also, here is a cute picture of Madison. We set our old sink fixture in the hall until we could take it outside and Madison thought it was her new toy! She played with that thing for hours! I almost contemplated putting it in her room...just joking!

Bathroom Overhaul!

Jason and I decided to do a mini remodel of our master bathroom today. Our old bathroom had no towel racks, no toiler paper holder, no mirror, and a cheapo over the toiler storage. So after a couple hours at Lowe's and the rest of the day in the bathroom, we were done.

Here is the new sink area. We reused the top marble part and just replaced the bottom storage part.

Madison

Hey ya'll! Just wanted to post up some new pictures of Madison. She likes to help me cook now. Here she is helping me make lasagna.

Madison loves to wrestle with Jack. She will crawl all over him and he doesn't even do anything.

And here she is after a long day of playing. She was so tired she fell asleep in the middle of her snack!

Big Girl!!!

Got some big updates for a big girl! For starters, Madison used the potty for the first time tonight!!! Jason read an article in one of his classes about children with autism, and it said the way they potty train them is to put them on the potty every 15 minutes. So, I said, it's worth a shot, I'll try. It took about 4 times sitting on the potty at 15 minute intervals and Madison peed and pooped in the potty. I got so excited I think I might have scared her a little bit. I must not have scared her too bad because she peed in the potty again before she went to bed!

Speaking of going to bed...we converted Madison's crib to the trasitional bed. And soon she'll get her own big girl bed. She did pretty good with it. She liked the fact that she could get in it herself. She cried the first time I turned out the lights and left, but I just went in and sung her a couple songs and she was fine.

Here's a picture I took the other day. Madison was playing in the sprinkler when she decided that she wanted to get her pool toys and bring them to play with. I just thought it was cute the way she was carrying them.
Well, I guess that's about it. Our little baby is growing into a big girl! It's bittersweet!
