Pure Redneck

First off...this is Jason posting...not Leslie:) After going to Grassy Pond yesterday I didn't get my redneck fill. I had "heard" from a coworker that if I stayed on Knight's Academy and drove till it became a dirt road it would dead end into a river. Well yesterday I went to look for it and it was better than expected. Dang near a redneck's paradise if you ask me. So today after church, Leslie, Madison, and I loaded up the ATV and fishin poles and headed down to the river(now that's redneck). The river is very shallow in some areas which makes it passable with ATV's. At one point we crossed though it came over the fenders and the engine was completely submerged but they are designed for such abuse. Anyway...we found a nice little area and we started out...
Here's Leslie getting Madison acquainted to the water

Absolutely gorgeous white sand!!!

This kinda shows you how nice it is. Leslie and Madison are standing on a sandbar and fishing from there. At that point the river gets real deep fast.

Daddy pulled the only fish in but it wasn't without the family's help. Leslie used Madison's Barbie Net to catch a minnow which I used to catch this monster!

Here's Madison playing with her net. The water was a bit cool cause it's late September but she loved it still. Next summer we will probably live down here:)

Thanks for viewing. If you're ever in Valdosta and get bored...we can always go down to the river. I love it here...

Grassy Pond

Hey eveybody! Jason, Madison, and I took a trip out to Grassy Pond yesterday to eat lunch and go fishing. I thought we were gonna just rent some fishing poles and stuff, but Jason surprised us and we all went to Wal-mart and got our own fishing poles. Madison picked out a Barbie one!
Here's Jason heating up some hot dogs and baked beans on the grill.
Madison getting the hot dog buns ready.
Madison playing peek-a-boo. She could stand on the step bar on the side of the bug and she was just popping up and saying "boo!"
Madison trying out her new barbie fishing pole.
I love this picture!
Fishing some more.
It must not have been a good day for fishing. We didn't catch anything and neither did anybody else there. Oh well, next time!

Jax Zoo

Hey ya'll! Jason, Madison and I went to the Jacksonville Zoo yesterday. It was a really nice zoo, and we all enjoyed it, especially Madison. She can now see and recongnize giraffe, elephant, monkey, fish, duck, bird, and I'm sure some other things, but I can't remember them all!
Here's Madison posing for a picture.

Silly girl:)

Okay, now I don't know where Madison learned how to do this! I'm guessing she saw somebody do it at school. She was sitting on the potty tonight and I just looked over at her and this is what she was doing. I cracked up! .

Teacher in the Making.....

Hey everybody!
Jason started doing his student teaching for school this week. He goes to a Kindergarten class 2 days a week for a few hours. He absolutely loves it! He smiles ear to ear any time he is telling me about it. He can't wait to be out of the military and doing what he really wants to do, teach! I am so proud of him!
Here he is on his first day of student teaching.
Here's a picture of Madison talking to Nana while we were driving somewhere. Anytime we get on the phone now, she wants to talk too!

Beach Days!

Hey everybody! I'm sorry I haven't posted in a while. I've been so busy with work and school. Anyways, we were in Panama City for Labor Day weekend and we finally got to the beach. It was Madison's first time at the beach and she loved it!
Here's Madison with Daddy. (First time going in the water.)
